Women's Empowerment
Ghana
Establishing women-led savings and loan associations, providing skills training in sustainable livelihoods, and ensuring women hold at least 50% of leadership positions in all community committees.
Empowering Women, Transforming Communities
When women thrive, entire communities prosper. The Richsel Legacy Foundation places women at the centre of development by equipping them with the financial tools, skills, and leadership opportunities they need to become agents of lasting change.
What We Do
- Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs): We establish women-led savings groups where members pool resources, access micro-loans, and build financial independence without relying on external lenders.
- Skills Training: From soap-making and tailoring to agricultural best practices, we provide hands-on vocational training that creates sustainable income streams.
- Leadership Development: We ensure women hold at least 50% of leadership positions in all community committees and water management groups.
Our Impact
Women who participate in our programmes report increased household income, greater decision-making power, and improved well-being for their families. We believe that gender equity is not just a goal — it is the foundation of sustainable development.
