Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you visit this website or make a donation, including how refunds work.

Last updated 22 October 2026

Acceptance of these terms

These terms apply to anyone who visits this website or makes a donation to Richsel Legacy Foundation LBG (“the Foundation”, “we”, “us”). By using this website, or by making a donation through it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

Who we are

Richsel Legacy Foundation LBG is a non-profit company limited by guarantee, registered in Ghana, and operating in Ghana and the USA. We run programmes in clean water and sanitation, women’s empowerment, care for the vulnerable, and afforestation. References to “this website” mean the website you are reading now, wherever it is hosted.

Using this website

You agree to use this website lawfully and in good faith. In particular, you agree not to:

  • use the website for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable or overburden it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or data connected to this website;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest content from the website at scale, or use automated tools against it, without our written permission;
  • upload or transmit anything harmful, such as malware, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.

We may suspend or restrict access to this website, for anyone, at any time, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

Donations

Donations made through this website are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment processor. Your card or Mobile Money details are entered directly on Paystack’s secure checkout and never touch our servers.

  • Donations are charged in Ghana cedis (GHS). If you are donating from the USA, your bank or card issuer converts the charge to US dollars at its own rate; the US$ figure shown on this website is an approximate guide only, not the amount actually charged.
  • A one-off gift can be made by card or Mobile Money. A monthly gift can only be made by card. You can cancel a monthly gift at any time, either through the manage link Paystack emails you, or by asking us on WhatsApp.
  • Paystack emails you a receipt for each successful charge.
  • You may choose to give to a specific project, or to “where it’s needed most”. If the project you chose becomes fully funded, or can no longer go ahead, we may apply your gift where it is needed most instead.
  • Donations are not tax-deductible in the United States unless and until the Foundation confirms US charitable status. We will update this page plainly when that changes.

Refund policy

Donations are gifts, and are generally non-refundable. However, we will refund a donation on request, within 30 days of the charge, where something went wrong, including:

  • a donation charged for the wrong amount;
  • a duplicate charge for the same donation;
  • an unauthorised use of your card or Mobile Money account; or
  • a monthly charge taken after you had already asked us to cancel it.

To request a refund, message us on WhatsApp with your payment reference (shown on your Paystack receipt). Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Paystack; how long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or Mobile Money provider, not on us. Disputed charges and chargebacks are handled through Paystack’s own dispute process.

Content and intellectual property

Everything on this website, including text, photos, logos and design, belongs to the Foundation or is used with permission, unless stated otherwise. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, republish or otherwise reuse our content, photos or logos without our written permission.

Your submissions

This website does not currently accept public comments, reviews or other user-submitted content. Admin accounts (used by Foundation staff to manage the website) are created by invitation only and are not open for public sign-up.

  • Cloudinary, which hosts images shown on this website.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party services beyond our use of them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We try to keep this website accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”, without guarantees of any kind, and we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Richsel Legacy Foundation LBG is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information, and forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our programmes or payment arrangements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute arising from these terms, or from your use of this website, is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
